INTRODUCTION |

The extension module is controlled by the keypad/readers working on the RS485 bus in a CT2000 system. The box 485-4 is constructed to be a very flexible unit, in order to solve different tasks in alarm- access and turning on/off different security functions in buildings, etc. There are 4 relay outputs, each controlled by codes/tags or bell sign. 2 of the 4 relays can be slave, time and event managed etc. Used for hold up functions. Used for special access for a predetermined time before the alarm again turns on etc.

- The Box 485-4 is delivered in a box for direct installing.
- Up to 2 keypads/readers per box. There can be added more boxes to the same pad on the bus.
- The input is the keypads/readers.
- Each group of codes/tags can be allocated to each relay in the box. Programmable in the PC program.
- Each box has its own ID.
- The activating time for the relays is set in the keypads/readers, and for the slave relays in the Box 485-4.
It transforms it into a simple access control where a code could pass one way and other codes could pass another way. By means of one code the door opens. By another turn the security system activates. By means of a third code the safe box turns on. By means of the fourth code turn the main switch for the electricity etc., or use the slave function to open and close according to a pre-defined pattern etc.

Box 485-4 is compatible with all CT2000 units. All parameters are programmable by a PC in a DOS or Windows program. Output modes: Normal or Inverse for the relays. Times for in- and outputs are all programmable. All the events taking place in box 485-4 can be logged or printed as the history for who did what at what time. Imagine the possibilities of solving any bypassing function. Use the combination of the relays and set up the program to manage it by the means of the PC. The box is delivered pre-programmed to work as soon as it is installed. |
