INTRODUCTION |

CT2000 Prox is an intelligent reader for controlling the access to any secured area, similar to the Keypad, but hands free. Just bring an authorized tag near to the pad, and you gain access for a pre-selected period of time. As an electronic 'key', it allows you at any time to cancel/replace/add to the existing tags. It accepts up to 100 different tags/reader. Could be used for access control, opening doors, turning on/off, or connected on a data bus to other units in the system.

The reader is approved in high security class:
- It is waterproof, vandal proof and in an elegant slim line design.
- Tag reading - hands free access - no mechanical switches. Up to 100 tags. The tags are able to operate in 13 groups for different purposes.
- 2 Security levels: User and Technician Level.
- 3 LEDs for 16 different settings.
- Tamper switch incorporated. Long life construction.
- Output by RS485 bus to other CT2000 products. Output by open collector, up to 500 mA. Output as impulse from 1 sec. to 50 hours, or toggle. Secured against short cutting.
- Each CT 2000 Prox has its own selectable ID. |

Customers can order different labels according to their own request. The CT2000 Prox has 4 modes: stand alone; inverse output; as a part of the CT2000 system; together with a keypad. CT 2000 Prox reader is programmable by a PC. Using both codes and tags, then add a CT2000 keypad, which can be used to increase the security level. The higher security level can be obtained by using the reader on the RS485 bus together with 6 other CT2000 units. |
